Reporting copyright infringement

If a track on fromband uses your copyrighted work without permission, you can report it from the track page.

Who can report

The copyright owner or someone authorized to act for them. You need to be signed in, and you can't report tracks on your own page.

How to report

On the track page, choose Report copyright. Enter your legal name, whether you're the owner or an authorized agent, your email, phone number, and mailing address, the work and proof of your rights, and where it appears if you know. Agree to both statements and sign with your full legal name.

What happens next

fromband reviews the report. If it's upheld, the track is taken down and both you and the uploader are told by email and notification. The uploader may send one reinstatement request, and you receive it with their contact details. Unless you tell fromband that you have filed a court action against the uploader about the track, the track goes public again between 10 and 14 business days after the request. If you have filed one, send us a message before then.Reporting without the rights to do so can make you liable for damages.Send us a message
